More About The Mayor!

Welcome visitors!  I am The Mayor of Crazy Town.  We’re thrilled to have you along….ALLLL ABOARD The Crazy Train!  Shall we begin our tour?  Coming up on the right, you’ll see my 4 small children, my messy house, & clumps of my, now mostly grey, hair!  On the left, you will notice my recently acquired eye twitch, & my very last nerve!  I strongly advise you not to get on it, under it, or anywhere near it, lest it snap & you find yourself a victim of my full-on crazy!  No flash photography please, it may irritate or startle our residents.  We hope you enjoy, what is sure to be, your extended stay…since there’s no escape from Crazy Town!  And don’t bother trying to gnaw through the straps, it’s just not worth it most days.  So sit back & enjoy the ride, someone will be around with the meds once your eyeballs start to bleed….clipart smiley emoticon evil laugh

Tracy; As you get older, in years as opposed to frustration induced ageing, you will find decisions must still be made in important matters. Now in the morning with my coffee, and after reading the obits to see if I made the paper, I have to decide whether to next read “For Better or For Worse” or go to the computer and check on the latest antics in “Crazy Town”.
An excellent job. NOW, if you can find time to attend art classes you could add a comic strip and be syndicated.
All the best

Sigh…if only my daily decisions were so simple! Instead, I have to struggle between pulling out or dyeing the grey hairs from that frustration induced aging, hiding out in the bathroom or the basement, & when I finally DO run away, should I take the guinea pig with me to ensure his safety & sanity also??!! I’ll keep you posted!

But thank you so much for having decided to follow us here in Crazy Town! As always, I’m humbled & flattered by such kind words of support! And maybe from time to time, if you don’t mind, you can continue to weigh in with your own earned wisdom, given how well your children turned out! I can use all the help I can get as I make that first foray into the TEEN years!!

I strongly urge you opt for the dyeing approach ( bald wouldn’t really suit you much!) And take the piggy with you when you hide out, both for HIS safety and YOUR sanity; hard to stay stressed while cuddling a piggy…

LMAO … love the words of wisdom … my dad starts every sentence and answers every question with, “if I’m still alive …” , So now, when I call him and he answers the phone in sunny Florida, I exclaim “OMG!! You’re ALIVE!!! I’m so glad …” and then move on to the reason for my call. He giggles every time. ;-)

I knew there was something about this “Mayor of Crazy Town” that didn’t quite sit right with me and I’ve finally realized what it is.

“Crazy Town” is your family, your home, your life.
“Mayor” is your role in all of this.

Being “Mayor” suggests a democracy, however in my personal experiences with families (both mine and others), the head of the family holds a role close to Dictator, Emperor or in your case possibly Queen.

Perhaps the fact that your family runs as a democracy contributes to the plethora of amusing stories you post here! But tell us, how did you manage to become Mayor? Were you elected or appointed? If elected, was it for a full 18 year term or a shorter one? Were there others running against you? What were some of your campaign promises? Have you kept them?

The Mayor! January 26, 2010 at 2:39 pm

Ahhh, Jim, you haven’t read enough yet…the answers to these questions & more are in prior posts LOL…including the fact that I took office through my sheer force of will, & Crazy Town is definitely NOT a democracy….as I’m sure The Dad will tell you! But maybe THAT is what contributes to the plethora of amusing stories, & maybe it SHOULD be more of a democracy!!

Darn. You caught me.

I am a little behind on my reading…and I did kind of wonder as I as posting if someone had asked the questions previously.

Honestly, I have no idea where you find the time to write so frequently!

Is there any way I can sign up to get e-mail delivery of your posts as well as any comments that people leave? Or do I have to keep coming back here with a web-browser?

The Mayor! January 26, 2010 at 4:43 pm

I knew it LOL!! Cause seriously, you sounded like you didn’t know me at all!! A democracy…COME ON!!! And we are working on a subscrition service that will allow you to do what you’ve asked, coming soon!! As for the time involved, I’m working on a post that will kinda address that haha!!

The Mayor! January 27, 2010 at 8:22 pm

K, for all my regular visitors!! As you’ll notice, we are continuing to work on & improve our site….I threw the black background up & LOVED it, but if you know me, that’s no surprise! However, The Dad said he had trouble seeing the script on his screen while it was black….any input or suggestions on what you may want to see would be great as we continue to “play” with it all! I can put a photo in the back, & may look for a scenery type of thing, but if you do have any troubles with the colours or type etc, please let us know so we can ensure we keep our tourists happy!! Thnx guys!! A subscription service with e-mail updates will also be coming soon!!

Seriously Jim-bo … a democracy? With 4 kids? What were you thinking? LoL

Alexandra May 2, 2010 at 10:12 am

Ack! At first I felt bad this morning that there was a surprise visit from the mayor, and the morning house still had dishes from last night out on the table, and laundry to be folded on the sofa. Then, I thought, Hey! It’s the mayor….my house is a shambles and looks like an alcoholic lives here…that makes me SOoooooo her people!

I left the keys to my kingdom in your mailbox.

Thank you for the visit! I think you are amazingly hilarious. And I love my funny funny women bloggers!

I really enjoy your website and want to take a moment of your time to inquire about any guest posting opportunities that you may have on your blog. I’ve written an informational and educational article on the importance of early childhood education that I believe your readers of ( would be interested in.

Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.
